Custom Outfit Stitching & Saree Upcycling
I transform your old sarees and bridal lehengas into stunning, wearable outfits. From modern gowns to family-matching sets, let’s give your fabrics a new story.
Watch the beautiful flare and movement of this custom-stitched brocade lehenga. I created this piece from a client's treasured Banarasi saree, pairing it with a simple, elegant blouse to let the rich fabric truly shine. This is how we give your old sarees a grand new life.
This project was so special to me. I had the honor of transforming a saree passed down through three generations into this adorable lehenga for a young girl. Preserving family memories in a wearable form is the most rewarding part of my work.
Don't let your beautiful bridal lehenga sit in a trunk forever. I redesigned this client's heavy wedding lehenga into a stunning, lighter Anarkali that she can now wear to festive occasions, keeping her special memories close.
Upcycling can be incredibly modern and chic. For this client, I transformed an old saree into a stylish white gharara suit with a zero-neck top. It's a perfect example of how sustainable fashion can be fashion-forward.
I love creating unique Indo-Western outfits. This three-piece set, featuring a custom-made drape skirt, a bustier, and a sheer floral jacket, was crafted entirely from a client's old saree. The fit and fall of this dress made my client so happy.
A simple satin silk saree can become an elegant evening gown. I designed this royal blue gown with contrasting brocade sleeves, using the full length of the saree to create a beautiful, flowing silhouette for my client.
A happy message from a client is the best feedback. She loved the dress I stitched for her from a saree and is already planning another one. Seeing my clients happy and confident in their redesigned outfits is my biggest motivation.
About Featured
Before you bring your fabric, consider the fall. A heavy silk saree behaves differently than a flowy georgette, and that is the secret to getting a gown or Anarkali that actually moves beautifully. I always assess the material during our first chat to see how we can best use those existing borders and pallas.
Breathing New Life Into Your Wardrobe
Your clothes hold stories. I have seen so many beautiful bridal lehengas sitting untouched in trunks because they are too heavy for parties or not quite the style for today. My job is to take those precious fabrics—the dadi’s wedding saree, your own bridal dupatta, or that Banarasi weave—and transform them into something you will actually wear on repeat.
The Process
We start with a conversation. I want to know where you plan to wear the outfit. Is it a festive evening, a friend’s wedding, or just a day out? This dictates whether we turn that saree into an Indo-Western drape skirt, a structured Anarkali, or a flowy gown.
Why Upcycling Works
Beyond the sustainability aspect, upcycling gives you a one-of-a-kind piece. You won’t walk into a room and find someone else wearing your dress because the fabric is yours alone. I handle the deconstruction and reconstruction with immense care, ensuring the original embroidery or borders are highlighted rather than lost.
What You Should Know
- Fabric Prep: Bring the fabric in, and we will look at the condition of the borders and the length together.
- Fit is Priority: I do multiple fittings for heavier pieces to ensure the silhouette is perfect.
- Personalization: Want to turn a heavy lehenga into a lighter suit, or a saree into a gharara set? We make it happen.
