Designer Blouse Stitching
Construction & Fit
- Consultation: Personal session to select necklines (Zero neck, V-neck, Sweetheart) and back designs tailored to body type.
- Premium Materials: Includes high-quality lining (Butter Crepe or high-count Cotton) to prevent itching and sagging.
- Support: Insertion of standard quality molded bra cups (padding) for permanent shape retention.
- Closure: Concealed side zipper or hook-eye closure with 2-3 inch inner margins for future size adjustments.
Design Elements
- Cuts: Execution of complex patterns like Princess cut, Katori cut, or Off-shoulder styles.
- Finishing: Contrast or matching piping on edges and handmade fabric latkans (tassels).
Exclusions
- Cost of the main outer fabric (client usually provides approx 1m).
- Hand-embroidery work on bare fabric.
Saree to Modern Outfit Transformation
Reconstruction Process
- Strategy: Assessment of vintage fabric to determine the best silhouette (Anarkali, Gown, or Lehenga) that maximizes print usage.
- Paneling: Careful deconstruction of the original 5.5m saree, removing worn areas and creating panels for maximum flare.
- Restoration: Re-attaching original saree borders on new hemlines or sleeves.
Structural Materials Provided
- Base Lining: Includes 4-5 meters of heavy Shantoon or Cotton Silk lining to provide opacity and weight.
- Volume: Includes a layer of Cancan (hard net) attached to the lining for a flared, puffy look.
Finishing
- Custom Tassels: Creation of matching fabric tassels using leftover pallu or borders.
- Fitting: Multiple trials to ensure the new structured outfit fits perfectly.
Bespoke Lehenga or Gown Stitching
Expert Construction
- Pattern Making: Custom pattern creation from scratch based on reference images or sketches.
- Flare Management: Handling extreme volume (gathering up to 10-16 meters of fabric) for ball-gown or heavy lehenga aesthetics.
- Scope: Precision stitching of the Skirt/Gown, Designer Blouse, and Dupatta finishing.
Inner Engineering Included
- Multi-Layer Lining: Sweat-absorbent inner cotton layer plus a shine-enhancing middle layer (satin/shantoon).
- Structure: Hard net (Cancan) layering tailored to desired volume (Single to Triple layers).
- Hem Support: Installation of Horsehair braid (crinoline) at the bottom hem to ensure the outfit holds its circular shape while walking.

- Utility: Sewing in invisible pockets, heavy-duty zippers, and waistband hooks.
- Note: This price covers labor and lining materials only; client provides the main outer fabric.

Why I Do What I Do
Designing clothes is personal for me. I want every outfit to feel like it belongs to you, not just something pretty to wear. Comfort matters as much as style. Sometimes, I get to work with old family sarees or lehengas and turn them into something new - that’s honestly my favourite part.
How We Create Together
- Bring me your ideas, even if it’s just a Pinterest screenshot or a half-baked thought. We’ll chat, sketch, and figure it out together.
- I love upcycling. Got your mom’s old saree or a bridal lehenga you don’t wear? Let’s make it into a modern heirloom outfit or even an upcycled saree dress.
- I design for women and kids - lehengas, gowns, Anarkalis, designer blouses, and Indo-Western co-ords. For kids, I always use soft linings and leave extra margin so they can wear it longer.
What You Can Expect
- Custom-fit party gown or lehenga, made just for you
- Honest feedback if something won’t work (I’ll tell you straight up, no jhooth-moot ka tareef (no fake praise))
- You can bring your own fabric, or we can pick something together

Hi, I’m Priyanka, the heart behind Needle Craft. Honestly, stitching is my therapy and my party both! That newspaper feature was cool, but nothing beats seeing someone light up in a dress I made. I love when someone brings me a saree from their dadi (grandma), and we make it into a lehenga. Or when moms and daughters want to match for Diwali. Your smile is my real award, always.
