About Our Philosophy
When I say I cook with love, I mean it literally. I swap white sugar for organic jaggery in my sweets and keep my oil usage strictly to what is needed for traditional preservation. You will not find refined additives or preservatives in my jars—just the balance of flavours I grew up with.
After a long career in interior design, I realized my true calling was back in the kitchen. Starting Mommade at 72 was never about mass production; it was about reclaiming the 'Maa ke hath ka swaad' (taste of a mother's hands) that seems to be disappearing.
My philosophy is simple. I make everything in small batches, right here in my kitchen. When you order a jar of my Panjiri or a pack of Masala Gud, you are getting food made with the same ingredients I would feed my own family. I prioritize nutrient-dense ingredients like roasted fox nuts, almonds, and pure cow ghee. Because everything is handmade, I can easily accommodate requests for sugar-free options or specific dietary needs—just ask.
My approach to healthy eating is based on tradition. I use age-old techniques like slow roasting flours to ensure proper digestion and health. Whether it is a tangy lemon pickle or a box of festive ladoos, my goal is to provide a snack that feels good, not heavy. By focusing on organic ingredients and skipping the chemicals found in store-bought items, I ensure that every bite is as pure as it gets.
