Building an unbreakable wall requires more than strength. Master the timing and technique for every ankle hold, thigh hold, and chain tackle here in Gurugram.

This is a running chain practice for cover defenders. This drill builds combination and timing between the two players. By practicing the running block and chain together, their coordination on the mat becomes perfect.

I am correcting a cover player's mistake during a training session. It's important to keep your hands down and ready, not to commit too early. One small mistake can give the raider an easy point.

Here, I am teaching the correct way to use a helper during a cover chain tackle. The support from the second defender is crucial to stop the raider's momentum and complete the tackle successfully.

This is a demonstration of the thigh hold. The technique involves getting low, locking the raider's thigh between your arm and body, and using your momentum to bring them down.

I am explaining the one-step ankle hold in a running movement. The key is to maintain a strong base with your knees bent. This allows you to absorb the raider's force and pull them back effectively.

This is a night session focused on block and dash practice on the sand. These drills are essential for defenders to build the speed and power needed to stop a fast raider in their tracks.

I am correcting a defender's mistake during a single block attempt. Instead of waiting for the raider, you have to attack him and use your body to push him out of the court. Don't give him a chance to escape.

This is the final part of my series on the dash technique. The key is to use your entire body's force, channeled through your arms and shoulder, to push the raider out. Once you make contact, you must drive with your legs.

Part three of my explanation of the block and dash skill. Here, we see the defender getting into a pre-position to execute a powerful dash as the raider attacks.

I am explaining the block and dash skill. It's not just for bonus situations. This skill can be used against any attacking move like a toe touch or hand touch, as long as the timing is right.

About Defender Skill Development

A common mistake I see is defenders attacking too early. You need to hold your position, keep your hands down, and wait for the raider to make the first move. In our training, we use sand pits to perfect the dash and block so your feet stay planted and your timing becomes automatic.
