Art is not always about the grand masterpiece. Sometimes, it is just about keeping a sketchbook, playing with lines, and showing up for yourself every single day.

To start the new year, I challenged myself to create one small 4x4 inch artwork every day for a month. This video shows a collection of those daily creative explorations, from pencil sketches to fingerprint art.

A spontaneous drawing of a kitchen utensil holder, done during a creative workshop. Sometimes the most ordinary objects can make for the most interesting subjects.

About Sketches, Doodles & Daily Practice

When I teach sketching, we do not start with strict rules. We start with 'dil se'—letting the pen move without overthinking. Whether it is a tiny 4x4 inch doodle or a quick ink study, these simple exercises are exactly how I help you get past the fear of a blank page.

This cluster captures my own daily creative habit—my spontaneous sketches, ink studies, and little creative exercises. I use these same techniques in my workshops to help you build confidence.

In my classes, we focus on the essentials: pen control, understanding patterns, and learning how to simplify complex subjects into shapes you can handle. You do not need fancy tools to start. If you join my Ink & Folk Art workshop, we use basic materials like cartridge paper and fine liner pens to turn these exercises into a mindful practice. It is not about making 'perfect' art; it is about consistent, small wins that add up over time. If you have been looking for a creative outlet that fits into your daily routine, this is where we begin.
