Art is everywhere—even in the items we think of as old. I love breathing new life into vintage tin boxes, worn sarees, or everyday objects by adding my own handmade touch. Let's create something meaningful together.

Here's the process of me restoring and hand-painting a 65-year-old Lipton tea box. In my upcycling workshops, we learn how to prepare surfaces and use acrylics to give vintage items a vibrant new identity.

Why have a plain umbrella when you can have a painted one? I decorated this one with bright yellow tulips to bring a little sunshine to the monsoon season. This is a fun project we can do in a one-day workshop.

Sometimes my heart wanders into making other things, like this resin jewelry. I love experimenting with resin to create colorful earrings and pendants. It's a fun, modern craft that I offer workshops for.

I revamped this metallic stole by adding colorful 'kantha' or running stitches to the border. This simple embroidery technique completely transformed the piece, adding a soft, handmade touch.

I gave my old Kerala saree a makeover by turning the beautiful 'pallu' into a table runner. With a few simple stitches, I was able to repurpose the fabric into a lovely piece of home decor.

For a workshop celebrating Women's Day and Holi, I hand-painted this white linen shirt with yellow tulips. Wearable art is a wonderful way to express your creativity every day.

Here you can see me adding a layer of resin to my paintings on old vinyl records. The resin creates a glossy, protective finish that makes the colors pop and turns the art into a durable decorative piece.

A behind-the-scenes look at me painting a shirt at the 'Mohe Rang De' art workshop. I bring all my colors and brushes, ready to transform fabric into a canvas.

About Upcycled & Creative Crafts

When I upcycle a vintage tea box or transform an old saree into a table runner, I don't look for absolute perfection. It is about the joy of repurposing. In my sessions, we focus on the process—cleaning, prepping, and adding that personal touch of hand-painting or simple kantha stitch—so you leave with a piece of decor that has a story rather than just a store-bought finish.
