From My Sketchbook: A Peek Into My Daily Practice
This is where I hide away—my messy sketchbook, quick pen doodles, and the quiet moments before a piece comes to life. Come see what's currently on my desk.
A satisfying process video showing the intricate line work and detailing on a digital illustration. I love getting lost in creating patterns and textures, and this gives you a close-up look at how I build up my drawings in Procreate.
A fun reel showing the contrast between 'The Artist' (me, enjoying nature) and 'The Art' (the paintings that nature inspires). It’s a lighthearted look at where my inspiration comes from and how it translates into my work.
A little doodle from my journal that I just had to share. It's a playful take on the creative process, showing how making art can sometimes feel like you're just trying to hold on. It’s a mix of my love for illustration and pottery.
A quick flip-through of my mini watercolor sketchbook, filled with floral paintings. I love capturing the delicate shapes and colors of different flowers, from fuchsias to anemones. Each one is a small study in color and form.
A still-life painting in watercolor and pen, featuring vases and a bowl on a wicker table. I enjoy capturing the quiet beauty of everyday objects and the interplay of color, light, and texture.
A watercolor painting of a quiet reading corner, bathed in sunlight. This piece, titled 'Pause', is about finding a moment of peace in a cozy, sunlit room. The monochrome blue palette creates a calm and serene atmosphere.
A simple, real-time video of me sketching a little puzzle piece character in my journal. It’s a motivational doodle about finding your place in the world and a reminder to never stop looking.
A quick sketchbook drawing with an important reminder: give yourself some credit. This live drawing video shows a simple idea coming to life, encouraging you to be proud of how far you've come.
We are all a little lost, and that's okay. This is a simple pen drawing I did in my sketchbook, illustrating the tangled and uncertain path of life. It’s a relatable doodle about the journey of finding our way.
Another watercolor study of a peaceful corner in a home. I focused on a green color palette to create a sense of calm and connection to nature, with light filtering in to highlight the plants and books.
About From My Sketchbook & Studio
My sketchbook isn't just about perfect drawings—it’s where I keep the thoughts I can’t say out loud. When you look at these sketches, you’re seeing the messy, honest experiments that eventually turn into the pottery or prints you see elsewhere in my studio.
When I sit down with my sketchbook, there’s no pressure to get it right. It’s just me, some ink, and whatever memory is soothing me that day. People often ask why I share these raw, unfinished pages. Honestly, because art shouldn't always be a polished final product.
Whether it’s a quick floral study in watercolor or a pen doodle about 'finding your place,' this collection is where the real work begins. I use these pages to play with techniques—mixing procreate layers for digital art, or keeping it tactile with watercolor washes on textured paper.
If you connect with a sketch here—maybe a landscape of a 'pahaad wale ghar' (mountain house) or a simple study of a vase—we can absolutely turn it into a finished print or a custom commission for your home. These sketches are the DNA of my larger projects, and seeing them gives you a better sense of how I bring a vibe or a feeling to life.
