Get a peek into the real energy behind my shoots. From mood boards to the last-minute chaos in the wardrobe van, here is how we turn scripts into style.

A heartwarming and fun moment on set with the child actors from the Zomato x Feeding India campaign. Being on set is all about connecting with the talent to bring out their best.

The reality of a stylist's life on set! Here's a look at my mobile wardrobe setup in a golf cart, making sure every outfit is ready for the next shot.

About On Set: The Process

You see the perfect frame on screen, but behind that is a mobile wardrobe often packed into a golf cart or a studio corner. My work on set is rarely about standing back. It is about staying close to the monitor to check for continuity, quick-fixing hemlines with safety pins, and keeping the talent comfortable. The magic is not just in the outfit, it is in the constant, quiet maintenance that keeps the look alive between takes.

From Concept to Camera

Every project starts long before we hit the set. I dive into the script to understand the brand's vision, creating mood boards that align the color palette and texture with the narrative. Whether it is a relatable family scene or a high-energy tech ad, the goal is to make the clothing feel like part of the story, not just a costume.

The Reality of On-Set Styling

When we are shooting, the vibe is fast-paced. My kit is my lifeline. A typical day involves:

  • Continuity Management: I keep a sharp eye on the monitor, making sure a button stays done up or a collar sits exactly the same way across multiple takes.
  • Quick Changes: Whether working with child actors like in my Zomato campaigns or busy celebrities, I have a team ready for fast wardrobe switches.
  • The 'Invisible' Fixes: It is not all glamorous. I am often on the floor with a steamer, using double-sided tape, or sewing a loose hem right before the director calls 'Action'.

My Approach to Production

For larger TVCs, I bring in my trusted team, including a dedicated dressman to manage garment care and iron every single piece. This allows me to focus entirely on the aesthetic and the talent. I have styled for everyone from Suresh Raina to massive brands, and the process remains the same: preparation is key, but adaptability is what saves the day. If you are looking for a stylist who understands the technical demands of a film set while keeping the creative vision fresh, let's talk.
