About Behind the Scenes: The Styling Process
It is never just me on set; it is a full-on collaboration. Whether we are pinning a veil, adjusting a hijab, or fine-tuning the lighting for a campaign, I make sure the whole crew—photographer, makeup artist, and production—are all synced to the creative vision so you feel nothing but confident in front of the lens.
The process always starts with a vibe check. This is our foundation, where we sit down to discuss the event theme, body shape analysis, and the story you want to tell through your outfit. For an editorial shoot or a campaign, this involves building a detailed moodboard and sourcing the right pieces from designers.
Once we have the direction, the work gets technical. Styling is about those micro-decisions: how the fabric falls, which jewelry accentuates the neckline, and how the draping alters your silhouette. My role is to bridge the gap between high-fashion concepts and what actually looks great on you in real-life settings.
I rely heavily on my team to execute this. A successful look is the result of smooth coordination between the makeup artist to match the face to the outfit, and the photographer to capture the mood. We handle everything from the initial sourcing and fittings to the final on-site styling. Whether we are prepping for a bridal entry or a brand campaign, the goal is to make the entire experience feel easy and exciting for you. We focus on the practical details—like ensuring your heels are comfortable or your dupatta stays pinned—so you can focus on being yourself.
