My live concerts blend the soulful roots of Indian classical music with the high energy of jazz, rock, and blues, creating a unique sound for your event.

A glimpse of the stage and the unique trumpet chandelier at The Piano Man, just before the "Mehtab Ali Niazi Experience" begins. This is the atmosphere where my full fusion band and I create our musical stories.

On stage with my incredible ensemble during the "Mehtab Ali Niazi Experience." This black and white shot captures the dynamic between the sitar, violin, and guitar, showcasing the different textures of our live fusion sound.

A wider view of the band on stage. You can see the complete setup with sitar, tabla, violin, guitar, keyboard, and drums. This is the full sound of my live fusion concerts, where every instrument has a voice.

Here is a clip of "Awargi Blues," my reinterpretation of Ustad Ghulam Ali’s ghazal. We gave it a jazz and blues twist, blending soulful vocals with improvisational sitar and a groovy rhythm section.

This is a live performance of "Bhimpalasi Reimagined." I took a traditional raga and explored it with a modern arrangement, showing how the core of Indian classical music can be presented in a new, contemporary light.

A solitary moment on a big stage, under the lights at The Piano Man. Even with a full band, there are moments in a concert where it's just me and my sitar, connecting with the audience through a single melody.

Sharing a laugh with my bandmates on stage. The energy and camaraderie between us is a huge part of our live performances. It’s this connection that makes the music so joyful and spontaneous.

The connection between the stage and the audience is everything. This photo captures the listeners completely absorbed in the music, which is the greatest reward for any artist.

A close-up shot during a live performance, seen through the crowd. This perspective shows the intimate connection I strive to build with the audience, no matter the size of the venue.

A candid moment backstage with my brother and our drummer. These are the quiet moments of focus and preparation before we head out to perform.

About The Mehtab Ali Niazi Experience: Live Fusion Concerts

When you book my full ensemble, we create a complete soundscape that blends the sitar with drums, bass, and violin. Because we mix acoustic Indian classical with modern electronic elements, I always require a 90-minute soundcheck before the event to get the acoustic-electric mix perfectly balanced for your venue.

My live concerts, known as The Mehtab Ali Niazi Experience, are where I bridge the gap between ancient tradition and modern energy. My setlist is never set in stone. I might open with a meditative raga, transition into an improvisational jazz-fusion piece, and finish with a high-energy rock-infused sitar track.

Whether you are hosting a corporate event or a private celebration in Delhi or Mumbai, I adapt my ensemble to fit your space. For smaller, intimate settings, I offer an acoustic trio featuring sitar, tabla, and guitar or violin, which is perfect for corporate dinners or upscale social gatherings. If you want a full-blown concert experience, I bring my 6-piece band, including a dedicated sound engineer, to ensure the drums and bass groove alongside the sitar. My goal is to break the silence with music that feels both grounded and unexpected.

I grew up with the sitar in my hands, learning from the masters. For me, music is a prayer, but on stage, it turns into a conversation between instruments. Whether I am playing a meditative raga or a rock-infused fusion track, I just want to connect with you.
