Professional Sitar Artist Portraits and Media Features
Beyond the stage, I express my music through visual storytelling. Here is a glimpse of my identity as a modern sitar artist, from press features to creative photoshoots that blend tradition with contemporary style.
I was so happy to be the new face of 'ECHO,' a Spotify India playlist dedicated to Sitar music. It's an honor to represent my instrument on such a major platform.
They say patience attracts happiness. Here's a fusion track, "Middle of the night," that was cooking for a while. This video captures the moody, experimental vibe of my fusion work.
A sunny shot from the 'Bones' photoshoot. I love finding cool urban spots that contrast with the traditional feel of the sitar.
Welcoming the monsoon with a rendition of the Gujarati folk song "Rang Morla." This video was shot on a rooftop, capturing the feeling of the open sky.

About The Artist: Portraits & Press
When I am not performing, I believe music can be felt through visuals just as much as sound. Whether it is finding the perfect urban contrast for a photoshoot or capturing the moody atmosphere of a fusion recording session, these images represent how I bridge the gap between the heritage of the sitar and the modern world.
My work is about more than just the notes I play; it is about the story I am telling. When you look at these portraits, you see the two sides of my musical life. On one hand, there is the deep, meditative space of Indian classical music where I find my roots. On the other, there is the experimental, high-energy fusion artist you see in my Spotify features or my 'Delhi Blinder' inspired series.
Photography allows me to document the journey of being a modern Indian classical musician. You will see shots from the 'Rang Morla' shoot, where we braved rooftops to capture that monsoon feeling, and clean, professional portraits used for my features on platforms like Spotify’s ECHO playlist.
I treat my visual identity with the same care as my raga practice. If you are looking for an artist who brings a strong, distinct aesthetic to your event—whether it is a corporate gala needing a sharp, modern look or an intimate cultural evening requiring traditional grace—these visuals show you exactly who will be walking onto your stage.
Mehtab Ali Niazi
I am Mehtab Ali Niazi, a sitar player living between the timeless ragas of my heritage and the pulse of modern fusion. For me, the music does not end when the concert does; it is an ongoing dialogue I love to explore through my look, my lifestyle, and the stories I share.
