Ceramic Art Exhibitions and Featured Works
From gallery exhibitions to media features, this is where my sculptural work lives when it isn't in the studio. Each piece here represents a step in my journey with clay. ✨
Here I am talking about my work for the 'Amalgamation' group show at Cymroza Art Gallery in Mumbai. My pieces for this show were sculptural forms inspired by the flowing, endless journey of life.

About My Art on Display: Exhibitions & Features
When I am not in the studio teaching, I am often pushing clay to its structural limits for gallery exhibitions. Many of these pieces, like my abstract ring sculptures, are born from the same clay I use in workshops, they just take a more challenging, artistic path. If you love a piece you see here, feel free to ask if I can recreate a version for your space.
Beyond the Studio
While I love the energy of teaching, these exhibitions allow me to slow down and explore the narrative side of ceramics. My work in shows like Amalgamation at the Cymroza Art Gallery in Mumbai and Whispers of the Earth in Bengaluru has been a deep dive into the sculptural possibilities of stoneware.
My Approach to Sculptural Art
My exhibition work moves away from pure utility and focuses on the flow of life. I often use techniques like:
- Abstract Forms: Interconnected rings and layered structures that play with light and balance.
- Multi-part Assembly: Constructing high-risk, artistic pieces that require patience and precision.
- Nature-Inspired Textures: Carving and surface work that reflects the world around us.
Can You Commission These Pieces?
Yes. While exhibition pieces are one-of-a-kind, they often inspire custom work for home collectors. If you are drawn to a specific texture, color, or the sculptural quality of my gallery displays, we can discuss creating a piece that brings that same aesthetic into your home. Whether it is a statement sculpture for a living room or a unique decorative vessel, I enjoy collaborating on ideas that push beyond standard kitchenware.
Let’s chat about your space and see what we can shape together.
Maya's Pottery
Hi, I’m Maya. Clay is how I tell stories, whether it’s a mug for your morning chai or a sculpture that catches the light in your living room. When I’m not running workshops, I’m usually experimenting with new forms that eventually find their way into galleries.
