About Sustainable Construction Workshops & Training
Why We Do What We Do
Building isn’t just about bricks and walls for us - it’s about making something meaningful with your own hands. Our workshops are a space for anyone curious about hands-on sustainable building, especially folks who want to move beyond just theory. We really care about lifting up women in construction, seeing them go from helpers to skilled leaders.
What You’ll Actually Do
No boring lectures here. You’ll be right there with us, mixing mud, prepping lime, and ramming earth. We teach practical stuff:
- Using natural building materials on real sites
- Earthbag construction skills for strong, fast builds
- Plastering techniques from Morocco and Rajasthan
- Bamboo wattle and daub with upcycled fibers (sometimes even dog hair - it works!)
- Gabion and bottle walls, for putting waste to good use
You’ll leave knowing the feel of each material and how ancient methods can be reimagined for today.
Who Shows Up Here
We’ve had students, architects, construction workers (lots of women!), DIY fans, and people just keen on sustainable living. Doesn’t matter if you’re new or experienced, you’ll find your spot.
Our Core Belief
We really believe anyone can learn this. Like we say here, “Pengalaala mudiyaadhadhu edhuvum illai. Seiyalamnuttu adhu oru manasula irundha adha senjidum.” (Nothing women can’t do. If you’ve got the will, you’ll get it done.) That’s the energy you’ll find at every workshop.

My Story
Namaskara! We’re Masons Ink from Bengaluru. Home’s not just walls to us, it’s got to breathe, you know? Courtyards - that’s our jam, letting in sun and fresh air. We’re always on site, hands muddy, building with our team. Super proud of our all-women masons - ‘Pengalaala mudiyaadhadhu edhuvum illai’ (Nothing women can’t do). We build with heart, earth, and a bit of stubbornness.
My Work
Architecture, Interiors & Reviving Spaces - We design homes from scratch, redo old places, and run workshops on sustainable construction.
Natural Rammed Earth & Mud-Lime Plastering - We use local materials - rammed earth walls, mud and lime plaster, bamboo wattle and daub.
Courtyard-Centric Architecture - Big fans of open courtyards, blending inside with outside, always chasing that natural light.
Vintage Door & Frame Reuse - Old doors, hundred years or more, get a new life in our homes. Old is gold for us.
Handmade & Imperfect - We love handmade, even if it’s not perfect. Little flaws make spaces feel real and warm.
