Explore how we blend tradition, eco-friendly materials, and light-filled architecture to transform houses into breathing, soulful homes in Bengaluru.

This sunlit, Spanish-inspired courtyard is the heart of the home. We used patterned cement tiles and filled the space with plants to create a cool, comfortable, and serene spot for the whole family, including Dorai the beagle, to relax.

We believe any space, no matter how simple, has the potential to become a beautiful home. This is a look at how we transformed a blank canvas into Casa Esmeralda, a home filled with warmth, color, and curated details.

We love using natural, breathable materials like this mud and lime plaster. It not only gives the wall a beautiful, earthy texture but also helps regulate the temperature, keeping the home cool naturally. The brass sink and blue countertop add a touch of modern craft.

For us, a courtyard is the soul of the house. It brings nature, light, and air into the very center of your home. This video shares our philosophy on why we build homes around these beautiful, life-giving spaces.

This main entrance features a repurposed vintage door set against an exposed brick wall. We believe details like these add a sense of history and character, making a new house feel like a home with a story.

The dining room at Casa 503 is designed to be a warm, inviting space for family meals. The golden light from the large windows, combined with the olive green walls and classic wooden furniture, creates a perfect setting for making memories.

This is the unique texture of 'Thappi', a traditional Rajasthani lime plastering technique. We worked with master artisans to train our all-women team of masons, preserving this sustainable craft and bringing its beauty to modern homes.

About this collection

We don't just design rooms; we change how a space feels by focusing on passive climate control. From the cooling properties of traditional Kota stone floors to the light-filled magic of an internal courtyard, our work prioritizes natural comfort. We source reclaimed vintage doors and train our all-women mason teams in time-tested lime plastering techniques like Thappi, ensuring every home we build supports both the environment and our local community.

What you see in this collection defines our approach at Masons Ink. We build homes that breathe, moving away from closed-off layouts toward designs that welcome the sun and breeze. At the heart of many of our projects is the courtyard, acting as a natural climate regulator.

We prioritize materials that age with grace—mud, lime, and reclaimed timber. Our wall finishes use traditional techniques like Thappi, which we actively teach to our team of women masons. This practice helps us keep heritage methods alive while providing stable work for local women. We also hunt for vintage doors and period hardware to give new builds a sense of history.

We avoid relying on heavy electrical gadgets to cool your home. Instead, we use passive design to manage the temperature, utilizing materials like Kota stone which stay naturally cool even during Bengaluru summers. We also ensure that our floor plans are friendly for pets, keeping surfaces safe and accessible. For us, building is about more than looks; it is about creating a sanctuary for your family that remains honest to the earth.
