Your heirloom sarees carry memories. Let me help you give them a fresh, artistic new life with handcrafted block prints.

See the transformation. We took a plain purple Kanjeevaram and added these beautiful gold butis using block printing, turning it into a rich, designer piece for our happy client.

The process of adding a modern chevron block print to a vibrant magenta silk saree. This is how we give a contemporary twist to traditional fabrics.

The final result of our hand-crafted block printing on a deep blue saree. The intricate floral border and butis add a big impact with a small, artistic move.

A beautiful emerald green saree gets a makeover with our custom block prints. The traditional paisley and geometric patterns give it a completely new and fresh look.

A magenta and orange silk saree after our block printing process. The tiny silver butis and the geometric patterns on the pallu add so much character.

A contemporary way to revamp an old Kanjeevaram. We used block printing to add a new design to this beautiful green and cream saree, worn here with a modern full-sleeve blouse.

The complete look for a revamped saree. We pair it with a matching blouse and handcrafted jewellery to create a cohesive, beautiful outfit.

About this collection

When you bring an old saree to me, we first discuss the design possibilities that honor the original weave. I personally select the block prints to complement your saree’s existing border, ensuring we add a touch of modern charm without losing the soul of the piece. Do bring your Kanjeevarams or silk pieces to my studio in Bengaluru, and we can look at the fabric together to see what works best.

Upcycling your sarees is about keeping heritage alive. Many of us have beautiful silk sarees sitting in cupboards—pieces from our mothers or grandmothers—that we hesitate to wear because they feel dated or lack excitement. My revamp service is a way to bridge that gap.

The Process

  1. Consultation: Bring your saree to my store on Doctor Rajkumar Road. I need to see the fabric to ensure the dye and printing process will hold up.
  2. Design Selection: We look at motifs together. I have a collection of hand-carved blocks, and we choose patterns that respect the original drape and border of your silk.
  3. Craftsmanship: I use high-quality dyes to apply the prints. This is a manual process that requires patience, but it creates a result that feels organic and unique to your piece.

Why Revamp?

It is sustainable and personal. Instead of buying something new, you are extending the life of a garment that already has sentimental value. Whether it is a Kanjeevaram that needs a modern chevron pattern or a Tussar that could use some delicate floral butis, a little design intervention goes a long way.

This service is perfect for those who love traditional handloom drapes but want a contemporary twist. You get a saree that feels brand new, but carries the history of your family. It is my way of ensuring we celebrate our roots while making them fit into our modern lives.
