About this collection
Choosing a Banarasi isn't just about the color. It is about knowing if you want the airy, lightweight feel of a semi-silk for an afternoon function or the heavy, rich drape of a Khatan for a wedding. When you visit our Rajajinagar studio, my daughter and I help you drape both so you can actually feel the difference on your shoulders before you decide.
Every Banarasi saree in our collection tells a story from the weavers we meet in Varanasi. We spend days sifting through thousands of weaves to bring back pieces that carry that specific soul of the city.
We offer different tiers to suit your needs. If you want something for office wear or a light lunch, our summer Banarasis are perfect. They are light, breezy, and have that characteristic 'Cutty' border without the weight. If you are preparing for a festive habba or a wedding, we recommend our heavy Khatan silks. These feature intricate jhaal work and 7-color Meenakari. Some of these weaves take up to 45 days to finish, and the texture is dense enough to hold crisp pleats all day long.
We do not just sell a drape; we ensure it is ready for you. Every premium saree includes finished pallu tassels and the standard boutique fall and pico finishing. If you are in Bengaluru, I encourage you to visit our studio on Doctor Rajkumar Road. There is no replacement for feeling the fabric in your hands and seeing how the zari catches the light.
Mansi by Sudha Kumar
I'm Sudha, and manSi is my heart. My daughter and I spend days sitting with weavers in Varanasi, hearing their stories and picking the best pieces to bring back to our manSi family here. When you wear one of our Banarasis, you are not just wearing a saree—you are carrying a bit of that journey with you.
