Master Judo Conditioning & Groundwork
Real fighting skill isn't built in a gym with fancy AC. It's built on the mat, through sweat, and by mastering the mechanics of control.
This is what I mean by building a strong engine. Our conditioning includes a mix of bodyweight exercises like handstands, explosive movements, and resistance training to develop the power and stamina needed for a tough fight.
Strength training is a non negotiable part of our program. This shows some of our core exercises: ab rollouts for core stability, dumbbell presses for pushing power, pull ups for a strong back, and rope climbs for grip and upper body strength.
This video captures the essence of our training. It moves from a "Mat Warrior" throw to conditioning drills and then a standing guillotine choke, showing how we integrate stand up, groundwork, and physical fitness into a complete system.
Learning how to fall is the first step to learning how to fight. This is an Ukemi, or breakfall drill. Mastering this fundamental skill not only prevents injury but also builds the confidence to attempt dynamic throws without fear.
About The Complete Fighter: Conditioning & Groundwork
Don't expect fancy treadmills or air conditioning here. Our conditioning is raw because it has to be: rope climbs, sled pushes, and heavy bag work designed to push your lungs and grip strength to the limit. If you’re stepping onto the mat, be ready to work for every bit of progress, because in this sport, khud ke dam par (on your own merit) is the only way to build real skill.
Beyond the Throw
A throw is just the beginning. Whether you are prepping for a belt grading or just building a better version of yourself, the difference between a fighter and someone just working out is what happens when you hit the ground. At Bodhiraan, we break this down into three pillars:
- Explosive Conditioning: We don't chase aesthetic pumps. We train for combat endurance. You will use rope climbs, sled pushes, and bodyweight drills to build the kind of stamina that doesn't quit when the rounds get long.
- Groundwork (Ne-waza): This is where you learn to dominate. We focus on pins, submissions, and transition control. You need to be comfortable on the mat, whether you are attacking or defending from the bottom.
- Safe Falling (Ukemi): You cannot throw with power if you are afraid to fall. We drill breakfalls until they are instinctual, protecting your body so you can take risks and execute dynamic techniques without hesitation.
Why Train With Us?
This is a no-nonsense basement dojo in Sector 38, Gurugram. It isn't for everyone. If you are looking for a place to passively workout, this isn't it. We value discipline, mutual respect, and consistency. You show up, you sweat, and you learn. If you're ready to stop losing to yourself, we have a spot for you.
