Professional Cricket Batting & Athletic Training
I focus on building complete athletes, not just batsmen. Here you will see a mix of cricket specific fitness, power hitting, and the technical drills that build a foundation for high performance.
To be a top cricketer, you must train like an athlete. Here we are working on batting-specific strength and agility using hurdle drills, which builds explosive power and quickness for running between the wickets and sharp movements in the field.
This pull shot training uses a tire to force the batsman to generate power from their core and maintain body balance. This drill is excellent for increasing bat speed and ensuring you stay in control while playing aggressive shots.
We use a variety of athletic drills to build cricket-specific fitness. This video shows resistance band sprints and medicine ball throws, which are key for developing explosive power, agility, and strengthening the core.
Batting basics start with a strong foundation. This top-hand training drill on a balance board is designed to improve stability and control, ensuring your power comes from the correct muscles without losing balance at the point of impact.
It is very important to understand the 'why' behind each drill. Here, I am explaining the mechanics of backfoot alignment, focusing on how to land on the toe for better balance and power, a common problem many players face.
The slog sweep requires both power and technique. We use resistance bands in this drill to strengthen the core and leg muscles, helping the batsman generate maximum power while maintaining a stable base for better elevation.
Alignment is everything for a batsman. This drill uses a tire as a guide to ensure the player's head, shoulder, and foot are perfectly aligned with the ball, which is the foundation for hitting straight and powerful drives.
Listen and learn. In this clip, I am breaking down the key components of power hitting, explaining how to use the bounce of the ball to get proper elevation and the importance of a relaxed shoulder for a quick bat swing.
Speed is a game-changer in cricket. My speed training program includes drills like hurdle jumps and resistance sprints to build explosive acceleration and agility, helping you steal quick singles and cover ground faster in the field.
There are three important points for power hitting: a still head, proper body alignment, and a full, fast bat swing. This drill focuses on isolating and perfecting these three fundamentals to generate maximum force.
About Featured
I do not use fancy gym machines. We train on red soil grounds using tractor tires and resistance bands to build real explosive power. You will feel the heat, but this is exactly how you prepare for match conditions.
Why My Training Methods Matter
I focus on the why behind every movement. Whether it is your backfoot alignment or the speed of your bat swing, every drill has a specific purpose. We train to mimic match reality, which means no AC rooms and no shortcuts.
What We Actually Do
- Power Hitting: I use heavy resistance bands and 60kg tire drills. These are essential if you want to clear the boundary with ease.
- Technical Correction: If your head falls or your shoulder is tight, I will spot it immediately. We use video analysis to fix weight transfer and toe positioning on the spot.
- Agility and Core: Quick singles and sharp fielding come from core stability. We use ladders and hurdles to make sure your footwork is as fast as your thinking.
My coaching is hands-on and direct. We work on open outdoor grounds across Bengaluru, and I expect total commitment. If you are ready to put in the work, I am ready to help you improve.
