At Little Red Hen, we believe education is about connection. Our teachers are trained to nurture each child’s unique rhythm, not just follow a rigid schedule.

About Our Teachers & Guiding Philosophy

We cap our batches at seven children, which allows our teachers to notice the small things—like whether a child is ready to hold a pencil or needs a bit more time with sensory play. This small-group approach is intentional; it means your child isn't just another face in a crowd, but a student our teachers know by heart.

Our teaching philosophy is built on the belief that children learn best when they are safe, seen, and allowed to explore at their own pace. We don't believe in scripts or rigid instruction manuals. Instead, our team in Kothanur and Thanisandra uses a mix of Montessori principles and the Play Way Methodology to spark natural curiosity.

The Importance of Our Approach

Our teachers undergo continuous development, such as the '6 Bricks' training, which gives them creative ways to use simple tools to teach complex concepts like transitions and problem-solving. This isn't just about fun; it’s about giving children the tools to think critically. Whether it is a sensory activity with cotton or a complex math puzzle, our focus remains on 'how' a child thinks, not just 'what' they learn.

Why Small Batches Matter

With a maximum of seven kids per batch, our educators can tailor their interactions. If a child is struggling to blend sounds during a phonics session, the teacher has the space to pivot the lesson instantly. We track progress through individual files, focusing on reading fluency and fine motor skills like pencil grip, and we share these milestones directly with you.

We are here to partner with parents. Our goal is to make sure your child feels that same sense of belonging here as they do at home. If you want to know more about how our teachers handle specific developmental stages or how we manage our classroom environment, feel free to reach out.
