We turn everyday curiosity into deep learning. From sensory pathways to STEM experiments, our play-based activities help children explore concepts, solve problems, and build confidence in a nurturing, small-group environment.

A teacher gently guides a student with a hands-on math tool, helping him understand numerical concepts. We make math exciting and accessible, turning numbers into a magical experience.

A child's hands are seen exploring a wooden number puzzle. This short clip captures the essence of our play-based learning, where curiosity guides discovery and builds foundational math skills.

This video showcases our students and teachers participating in a fun STEM/STEAM Day experiment. We believe in being both thinkers and creators, and hands-on science projects are a perfect way to foster both.

Two boys work together on a colorful bead maze, demonstrating our Play Way Methodology in action. Through play, children naturally develop critical thinking, social skills, and emotional expression.

Our unique outdoor sensory pathway, with its varied textures of pebbles, sand, and grass. This feature is designed to enrich learning by engaging sight, sound, and touch.

Children's hands are seen collaborating over a tray of colorful wooden blocks. This is Loose Parts Play, an activity that encourages boundless imagination, creativity, and problem-solving.

A young girl proudly builds a tower of pink blocks, her face beaming with accomplishment. We believe big dreams start with tiny scribbles and playful creations.

A teacher and child work together with colorful beads and a threading toy. Our curriculum goes beyond ABCs and 123s, using diverse activities to nurture all aspects of a child's development.

A teacher sits with a student at a table, guiding her through a learning game. We believe in turning playtime into learning time, with age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity.

A teacher gives a high-five to a smiling student over a tower of blocks. Our secret sauce is happiness, as we believe joyful children are the most powerful learners.

About Learning Through Play: Beyond ABCs

In our small batches capped at seven children, we do not rely on rote memorization. Instead, we might spend a morning exploring our sensory pathway or collaborating on a loose parts project, ensuring your child learns through genuine discovery rather than just sitting at a desk.

For us, early childhood development is not about filling out worksheets. It is about fostering a genuine love for exploration. When a child learns math by counting real-life objects or understands physics by balancing blocks on a sensory pathway, the concepts stick because they are meaningful.

Why Our Approach Works

Our Play Way Methodology ensures that your child is an active participant in their learning. We intentionally limit batch sizes to seven students to ensure every child gets the attention they need to flourish. This environment allows us to notice when a child is ready to try a new challenge or when they need a little extra encouragement.

What You Will Find in Our Sessions

  • Loose Parts Play: We provide open-ended materials that children can move, carry, combine, and redesign. There is no right or wrong way to play, which builds critical thinking and resilience.
  • Sensory Pathways: Our outdoor area features varied textures like sand, pebbles, and grass, helping children develop balance, motor skills, and sensory awareness.
  • STEM/STEAM Exploration: We introduce science and engineering through hands-on experiments rather than textbooks, helping kids become thinkers who ask questions.

If you want your child to build a foundation of curiosity in a home-like environment in Kothanur, we would love to show you how we do it.

We started Little Red Hen in 2014 with a simple dream: to create a space where kids feel at home while they learn. My team and I focus on getting to know every child’s unique spark because we believe small groups are the only way to help them really shine.
