Classical Ballet Classes for Children (Ages 4+)
We teach children the foundations of classical ballet through storytelling and creative movement, building core strength, discipline, and confidence in a fun, Montessori-inspired environment.
Storytime sparks the imagination before we even take a step. Here, our little dancers are captivated by the tale of Thumbelina, connecting narrative to movement and learning the basics of ballet through play.
The same story of Thumbelina, seen from another angle, shows a room full of young dancers completely engrossed. We believe that when children are having fun, they learn best.
Our pre-primary classes often begin with a story. Listening to the tale of Cinderella, our students learn to connect emotion and character to the art of dance.
All smiles and peace signs from our Pre-Primary squad in Koramangala. The energy and joy these young dancers bring to the studio is contagious.
Another happy group from our Koramangala Pre-Primary class. We foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere where children can build confidence and make friends.
Our little pirates are on a grand adventure. Using imagination and storytelling, we teach fundamental ballet movements in a way that is engaging and exciting for our youngest students.
A smile from our Artistic Director, Ms. Yana, as she sits with the pre-primary class. We prioritize a warm, personal connection with every student.
A student raises her hand, eager to participate. We encourage curiosity and active involvement in our classes, creating a dynamic learning environment.
A peek into our Primary class at Kammanahalli. Students learn to follow instructions in a group setting, building discipline and coordination with smiles on their faces.
With focused attention, a young dancer practices her arm positions. Even at the primary level, we begin to instill the precision that is core to classical ballet.
About For Our Youngest Dancers (Ages 4+)
We don't just teach steps; we use a Montessori-style approach where younger students observe seniors during class. This helps children pick up technique and posture naturally, as they see how older students hold their bodies and focus, transforming the learning process into a collaborative effort rather than just following orders.
Ballet is often misunderstood as simply wearing pink and looking pretty, but our training for children ages 4 and up is about building resilience. By following the UK-based Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus, we ensure that every movement—from the placement of the feet to the carriage of the arms—is technically sound.
We prioritize physical safety by training on professional sprung floors which provide the necessary cushion for growing knees and ankles. Our sessions are not just about choreography; they are about understanding the anatomy of dance. Whether it is a Pre-Primary class in Koramangala or a Grade 1 session in Whitefield, the objective remains the same: to instill precision and musicality.
Parents often ask us if their child needs prior experience, and the answer is no. We start from the absolute basics, using games and narratives like 'Thumbelina' or 'Cinderella' to keep engagement high while the students subconsciously internalize complex muscle memory. Over time, these playful moments evolve into structured academic training, preparing interested students for international examinations if they choose to pursue that path. We keep our groups manageable to ensure that every child receives the individual attention required to correct their form, ensuring they learn the right way from day one.
