- Styling: 2 outfit changes including hand knitted rompers or wraps
- Safety: Includes signature 4 layer wrapping technique and a dedicated assistant for spotting

What I Do
I’m your photo doula, here to turn your baby’s earliest days into memories you’ll actually want to keep. It’s not just about snapping pictures - I’m all about supporting you and making sure these moments feel special. I work from my Malad West studio and each session is a mix of planning, feeling, and a bit of magic.
Safety First, Always
Being a mom, I get how much you worry about your newborn. Safety’s never an afterthought for me. I have a trained assistant with me every time, and I’ve learned the art of gentle ‘pakdo’ (holding). For tricky poses like Potato Sack, I use four layers of wraps for proper support - no risky business. If the baby isn’t comfy, we don’t do the pose.
Capturing Those Sleepy Days
The best time for sleepy baby photos is between day 5 and 14. That’s when babies are most chill and flexible, and we get those dreamy, snuggly, posed newborn portraits that everyone loves.
Your Story, Your Style
I do posed & swaddled shots, using soft fabrics and cute props - baskets, buckets, mini beds, you name it. If you want custom newborn themes, like superheroes, floral gardens, or teddy bear picnics, I’m game. I also make sure to get close-ups of tiny fingers, toes, and lashes.
Families & Twins
You and your partner can be part of the newborn family photos too. If you’ve got twins, I’ve got experience there and I honestly love capturing those moments.

My Story
Hey, I’m Shilpa - people call me the 'photo doula'. I’m all about capturing those real, messy, beautiful family moments, especially when you want your culture in every frame. Being Malayali, I get super excited for shoots with a traditional twist (Onam shoot in my studio? Still smiling!). Some clients start as strangers, but end up like family. That trust, those hugs at the end, that’s what keeps me coming back.
