How I Capture Family Stories
I’m called a ‘photo doula’ for a reason. I don’t just click photos - I try to find the heart of your family in those little moments: a quick hug, a silly giggle, sometimes even a tiny tantrum. My job is to make family portraits feel real, not stiff or perfect.
The Session Vibe
If you’re worried about chaos with kids, trust me, I’ve seen it all. I keep the energy chill - not rushed, not forced. I use gentle words like ‘pakdo’ (hold on) and ‘kitne pyaare lag rahe ho’ (you’re looking so lovely) to keep kids at ease. For babies, I’m extra careful with safe posing and cozy wraps. Safety is non-negotiable.
Creative Space - Studio & Themes
My Malad West studio is open for all ideas, from classic portraits to full-on K3G drama. Some options:

Outdoor Shoots in Mumbai

My Story
Hey, I’m Shilpa - people call me the 'photo doula'. I’m all about capturing those real, messy, beautiful family moments, especially when you want your culture in every frame. Being Malayali, I get super excited for shoots with a traditional twist (Onam shoot in my studio? Still smiling!). Some clients start as strangers, but end up like family.
