About Growing Up: Sitter & Milestone Sessions
The most important part of these shoots isn't the props or the outfits; it is our patience. At 3, 6, or 9 months, babies are unpredictable. They might be hungry, cranky, or just plain sleepy, and that is completely normal. We don't rush. We plan our sessions to move at your baby's pace, ensuring we catch those genuine, happy expressions rather than forcing a pose.
As your baby grows, each month brings new personality traits and developmental leaps. Our milestone sessions are designed to capture exactly who your baby is right now, without the complexity of a newborn setup.
What we cover in milestone sessions:
- 3 Months (Tummy Time & Smiles): At this stage, we focus on lifting their heads, those early social smiles, and their budding engagement with the world.
- 6-9 Months (The Sitter Stage): This is often a favorite. When your baby starts sitting unsupported, they show so much character. We use age-appropriate props like wooden crates and benches to support them while keeping the focus on their giggles and curious expressions.
- 12 Months (Pre-Birthday): Just before the big one, we capture those first tentative steps, their favorite toys, and the unique personality they have developed.
Why our approach works
We operate out of our Airoli studio, which is equipped with controlled lighting and soft, safe fabrics. If the studio environment feels too stressful, we bring our portable setup to your home. We find that babies are often more relaxed in familiar surroundings, which leads to more natural portraits.
We are not just looking for a pretty picture. We want to document the way your baby holds their feet, the way they look at you, and the tiny details that you might otherwise forget. We handle everything from the theme and props to the posing, so you can simply sit back and enjoy watching your little one shine.
