I believe the best learning happens when we are actively engaged. Here, I am guiding a group of passionate educators through a hands-on early numeracy workshop, using tangible materials to explore concepts like subitizing and pattern recognition in a collaborative floor-based setting.
This is a glimpse into our "Six Bricks" teacher training session, led by an expert from SundayBricks. I focus on bringing in specialists to demonstrate how simple tools like LEGO blocks can be used to teach complex concepts and make learning inseparable from play.
My workshops provide practical, ready-to-use resources. This is a close-up of teachers engaging with dot cards and grids, tools we use to build a strong foundation in early numeracy and spatial reasoning for young learners.
I am passionate about inspiring the next generation of educators. In this session, I am presenting my play-based learning philosophy to a large group of student teachers from Mount Carmel College, bridging the gap between educational theory and real-world classroom application.
Completing a training session with me is a moment of pride and accomplishment. Here, a group of educators proudly displays their certificates after an intensive early numeracy workshop, equipped with new skills and renewed passion for teaching.
This is the ultimate goal of my training. A young learner is deeply focused on a numeracy puzzle, demonstrating how the play-based techniques I teach educators translate directly into engaged, confident, and curious children in the classroom.

About Educator Training & Professional Development

Why I Do This

I honestly believe teaching isn't just about passing knowledge—it's about growing together. "I play, I learn" is not only for kids, but for us teachers too. When I run workshops, my aim is to create a space where we all upskill, share, and read to learn, not just tick off boxes.

What to Expect

  • Specialized workshops with experts—expect deep dives, not dry lectures.
  • Ongoing professional sessions where you can actually try out new things, not just hear about them.
  • We welcome student teachers and aspiring educators for real hands-on experience bridging theory and classroom realities.

What We Dive Into

  • Early numeracy professional training: Practical sessions on subitizing, using grids and patterns, and building math confidence in little ones. All hands-on, using dot cards, blocks, and real stuff you can use right away.
  • Play-based educator workshops: Learn the "Six Brick" approach, where we use simple blocks to make play and learning blend naturally. It's not just for fun—the developmental benefits are huge.
  • Preschool phonics skill-building: Move past rote memorization. I show you how to use sounds, songs, and actions so reading actually makes sense to young kids.

The Experience

This isn't a formal, stiff training. We sit together—on the floor, in open spaces—with LEGO, art, and manipulatives spread out. It's messy but real. You'll walk away with ideas you can try out the very next day.

More Than Training

Joining one of my sessions means joining a supportive community. We laugh, share, and build each other up. If you're keen to be part of a group that cares about shaping young minds for the future, you'll fit right in.

My Story

I’m a parent first, that’s how Knowledge Origin started. I wanted a place where kids don’t just sit and listen, they touch, build, laugh, mess up, and try again. Our motto is ‘I play, I learn’ and you’ll see it—kids poking at green peas, making cardboard castles, or heading out to the planetarium. We’re a bunch of parents who built this space for all kids to feel safe and curious. Watching them grow into little explorers? That’s the best part.

My Work

Programs for Every Stage - We run play-based preschool, toddler activities, afterschool clubs, and summer camps for early learners.

Learning Through Play - No boring lessons. Kids get hands-on, experiment, and build confidence by playing and exploring.

Learning Beyond Walls - Nature walk curriculum is big here. Field trips, outdoor time, real-world learning, not just posters on walls.

Raising Good Humans - We care about life skills, emotional strength, and helping kids become curious, kind communicators.
