About Professional Development & Educational Workshops
My Approach: Joyful Learning, Real Results
I started Hattennoki because I saw how stressful learning can be for kids, parents, and teachers. For me, math, reading, and emotional health go together - and I use play, stories, and everyday tools to make learning something you actually want to do. Smiles matter here.
For Educators: Tools That Work in Your Classroom
No boring theory dumps. I design hands-on math workshops and reading sessions where you get to try out strategies, not just listen.
- Math from Scratch: Build kids’ number sense and problem solving with games, not rote memorization.
- Social-emotional classroom strategies: Brain energizer activities, mindfulness, and ways to manage tough moments with real empathy.
- Science of reading training: Learn how literacy connects to every subject, using methods that actually help children become confident readers.
For Parents & Kids: Learning Together
You don’t have to handle homework battles or math anxiety alone.
- Parent-child learning sessions: Join Mathefy Me workshops to turn numbers into fun stories and games.
- Listening Circles: Swap real-life tips for everything from tantrums to teen stress, in a safe group.
For Students: Skills for School and Life
Kids join sessions to play, experiment, and grow.
- Critical thinking and STEM games
- Visual math for ages 5-10
- Time management for students in tough programs like IBDP
How It Happens
My sessions are hands-on, never lectures. We use Lego, playdough, and my own Yonjuu math game. You decide how you want to join - at your school, online, or at partner venues around Bangalore.

My Story
We’re Hattennoki, not mountain folks but city souls with roots in Uttarakhand. Delhi born, US trained, I lost my mom but gained a new view – heritage matters, even in math class. My son Kai sparked it all. Was a high school math teacher, but saw kids struggling, confidence missing. So, I switched gears. Now, it’s all about blending real learning, emotional care, and a bit of family magic. We want kids to thrive, wherever they land.
My Work
Consultancy, Workshops & Training - We work with schools, parents, and educators. Sessions dig deep into hands-on math workshops, Science of Reading, and social-emotional learning.
Kids & Family Learning Programs - Our Math from Scratch and Learn to Read, Read to Learn programs build real confidence, not just rote skills. Group or solo, always joyful.
Learning Tools & Games - We create stuff like Yonjuu math cards and play-based learning kits. Kids get to touch, play, and really understand what they’re learning.
