Discover the soulful flavours of Bihar, from tangy Nimki to spicy Bharwa Lal Mirch. Every jar is sun-dried and preservative-free, made just like my dadi used to.

Welcome to the authentic taste of Bihar. My Bharwa Lal Mirch pickle and homemade spices are a celebration of the flavours I grew up with.

A glimpse into the rich textures and colours of my Bihari pickles. Each one, from the shredded Kuchha Mango to the chunky Kathal, carries the authentic flavour of my home state.

This is the true flavour of Bihar. My pickles are made with recipes that have been in my family for generations, bringing a unique and local taste to your plate.

This is Bihar's famous Nimki, a special kind of whole lemon pickle. It's a tangy and healthy achaar that is great for digestion and has a very unique, traditional taste.

From tangy raw mango to sweet and spicy mango, each variety is made with care. This is the taste that will remind you of summer holidays and dadi's kitchen.

My sweet mango pickle is a perfect balance of 'khat-mitthi'. It's a delicious treat that goes well with puris, parathas, or even just by itself.

For those who like something different, my Karela ka Achaar, or bitter gourd pickle, is a must-try. The bitterness is balanced with tangy spices, making it both healthy and tasty.

A close-up of my signature Bharwa Lal Mirch. The rich red colour comes from the chillies themselves, not from any artificial colours.

My Kathal ka Achaar, or jackfruit pickle, is a seasonal specialty. The tender jackfruit pieces absorb the masalas beautifully, creating a flavour you won't easily forget.

This is my Bharwa Hari Mirch, or stuffed green chilli pickle. It's a zesty and spicy achaar, perfect for those who love a bit of heat with their meals.

About The Taste of Bihar: Our Signature Pickles

Unlike factory-made options that rely on vinegar for shelf life, I use only cold-pressed mustard oil and traditional sun-drying techniques for up to 7 days. This specific process keeps the vegetable textures intact and the flavours deep, creating a real 'ghar ka swaad' that you simply won't find on supermarket shelves.

My pickle library is all about keeping traditions alive. Whether it is the fibrous texture of my Kathal (Jackfruit) achaar or the zesty punch of our Bihar-style Nimki, every jar tells a story of my home.

Why my pickles are different

  • No Chemicals: You won't find any vinegar, sodium benzoate, or artificial colours here. I rely on salt, sun, and pure spices for natural preservation.
  • Home-Ground Spices: I don't use ready-made powders. My masalas are crushed at home, ensuring that fresh, aromatic hit of fennel, mustard, and fenugreek in every bite.
  • Cold-Pressed Mustard Oil: I use only kachi ghani (cold-pressed) mustard oil. It is lighter, healthier, and brings out the authentic pungent flavour essential for Bihari achaar.

Finding the right flavour

If you love heat, the Bharwa Lal Mirch is a favourite—stuffed with our secret spice blend. If you want something lighter for digestion, my Nimki (whole lemon pickle) is the perfect companion for your daily lunch. Everything is made in small batches, so when a season ends, so does that specific pickle. It keeps the quality fresh and exactly how it was meant to be.
