This is the first collection of media a potential student sees. We've selected these to showcase the discipline, diversity, and success of our students, providing a comprehensive look into the journey at Khalsa Music Academy, from practice to the grand stage.
Gurbani Kirtan: A Spiritual Journey
For us, Kirtan is a form of prayer and a direct path to connecting with the divine. Our classes focus on the authentic presentation of Gurbani Shabads from the Guru Granth Sahib and Dasam Granth, set to their traditional Raags and Taals.
Mastering Indian Classical Vocals
Our curriculum is built on the core principles of Raag (melody) and Taal (rhythm). Students begin with foundational Sargam exercises and progress to complex forms like Bandish, Alaap, and the intricate, fast-paced melodic runs known as Taans.
Instrumental Ensemble & Training
We provide comprehensive training in key accompanying instruments. Students learn Harmonium for vocal support, Tabla for rhythm, and traditional string instruments like the Sitar, Dilruba, and Violin, often performing together in ensembles.
From Practice to Performance
We believe in providing a complete musical education that includes valuable stage experience. Our students regularly perform in Baithaks, classical concerts, and at Gurpurab events, building their confidence and honing their performance skills.
Our Budding Musicians
It is never too early or too late to start a musical journey. We welcome students of all ages, from young children to adults, fostering a passion for music in a disciplined and supportive group class environment.
Student Achievements
We are proud of the dedication and success of our students. They consistently excel in inter-school and state-level competitions, earning awards for their skill in both Gurbani Kirtan and classical instrumental music.
