About Featured
The images here represent our core philosophy: balancing disciplined riyaz (practice) with the joy of performance. Unlike typical music schools, our group sessions are conducted in a traditional Baithak style on the floor, accompanied by a live Tabla player. This ensures that even in a group setting, students learn to synchronize with rhythm and pitch from their very first day.
At Khalsa Music Academy, we believe music is a language of devotion. Our curriculum is built on the twin pillars of Raag and Taal. We do not just teach students to play a song; we teach them the discipline of the art form.
Our Training Approach
Every student undergoes a structured progression. We start with fundamental Sargam and Alankars to build vocal and finger strength. As students advance, they transition to complex forms like Bandish, Alaap, and the intricate Taans that define Indian classical music. For those studying instruments, we provide specialized training on the Harmonium, Tabla, Sitar, Dilruba, and more.
Classroom Environment
We keep our batches small, typically 5 to 10 students. This ensures that every student gets individual correction on their posture, fingering, and voice culture. Our sessions are designed to be inclusive; we have young children learning alongside adults, creating a supportive community of learners.
From Practice to Performance
We view the stage as an extension of the classroom. Students regularly participate in Baithaks and classical concerts. This is where they learn to apply their riyaz in a real-world setting, overcoming stage fright and gaining confidence. We are particularly proud of our students' achievements in inter-school Kirtan competitions, where their hard work and dedication consistently shine through.
