What you see here is a blend of our old-school roots, like our traditional floor-seating baithaks for classical riyaz, and the high-tech reality of Katharas, our in-house professional recording studio. Whether you are prepping for Trinity College London exams or cutting a demo track on Pioneer gear, the environment here is built to give you the exact setting you need to progress.
Since our start in 1924, we have balanced the discipline of traditional music with the demands of the modern industry. Our Safdarjung Enclave campus is intentionally designed to reflect this duality. You will find traditional floor-seating arrangements for our Indian classical and instrumental classes, which follow the Prayag Sangeet Samiti curriculum. This is where students focus on the fundamentals of Hindustani vocal, tabla, or sitar in a quiet, dedicated setting.
On the other side, we have Katharas, our fully-equipped professional recording studio. This is where our music production, DJing, and sound engineering courses happen. We believe in learning by doing, so our students work on industry-standard equipment like Pioneer CDJs and DAW workstations such as Logic Pro X. It is not uncommon for our students to find themselves near professional sessions, as our halls have historically welcomed artists ranging from A.R. Rahman to Mohit Chauhan.
Whether you are looking for Western vocals, preparing for Rock School or Trinity College London grade exams, or want to join our high-energy dance workshops for Bollywood and hip-hop, the focus remains on practical skill. We keep our batches intentionally small, typically 3 to 8 students for music and 10 to 20 for dance, to ensure you actually get direct feedback from our faculty. We handle the technical training and the historical context; you bring the discipline to practice.
