Yoga Events and Community Collaborations in Mumbai
We step beyond the walls of our studio to share the science of traditional yoga with the wider community.

About Community Events & Collaborations
When we step out of our center for initiatives like Yoga Sangam, we apply the exact same alignment and breath principles we teach in our daily classes. It is about making authentic practice accessible to everyone, ensuring that whether you are on a public promenade or in a university hall, the focus remains on stability and safe movement rather than just performing postures.
Yoga was never meant to be confined to a single room. Since 1924, our mission at Kaivalyadhama has been to demystify yoga and present it as a science. Our community events, such as the Yoga Sangam held at Marine Drive, represent this commitment to public education. By collaborating with institutions like SNDT Women's University and the Ministry of Ayush, we bring traditional yogic concepts directly to students and the public.
These collaborations are not merely social gatherings. They serve as a practical bridge for individuals to understand the difference between exercise and yoga. We emphasize that a healthy day begins with intentional thought and disciplined practice. During these sessions, we focus on foundational asanas and pranayama, ensuring participants understand the why behind every movement. Whether we are hosting a large-scale event or a focused workshop, our objective is to foster a culture of health that persists long after the event concludes.
Kaivalyadhama
We have been stewarding the science of yoga for a century, moving it out of textbooks and into the lives of people across Mumbai. Our community work is our way of keeping this lineage alive and relevant for every generation.
