About Competitive Karate Training
Karate: More Than Just Self-Defense
I see karate as a way of life, not just a fighting style. If you're aiming for the top - state, national, or international championships - that's exactly who I train. My goal? Building champions on and off the mat. Oss.
What My Training Looks Like
- I run every session, with my Black Belt team backing me up.
- Our dojo, Karate Tech, is properly affiliated with Okinawa Karate Do Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai.
- We don’t mess around - this is for those who want to win, not just participate.
My Experience
- National Karate Champion (been there, done that)
- National Level Trainer
- International Karate Judge
- Coach for Indian team, including at international championships
How We Build Winners
- "Work until your mind forgets and your body remembers." That's what I drill into my students.
- For kata, we chase advanced kata mastery: power, speed, control, and sharpness until every move is automatic.
- For kumite, it’s all about tournament kumite preparation - strategy, rules, point system (Yūkō, Waza-ari, Ippon), and tough sparring. Full gear, no shortcuts, safety is big here.
Results? Dekho bhai (Just see)
- My students bag medals at every level.
- Coached the Indian team to Overall Champions at the Shorin Kai International in Dubai - 52 Gold, 45 Silver, 28 Bronze.
- If you’re ready to grind, you can be next. Oss.

My Story
Oss. I’m GD Sharma, and for me, karate’s not just kicks and punches, it’s life itself. I always tell my students, 'I don’t need a weapon. I am one.' My pride? Watching my students train hard and win – like when our Shorin Kai team went to Dubai and brought home a pile of medals. That moment, seeing India become champion, was something else. Spirit’s what matters, more than anything. Oss.
