About this collection
Sparring is not about uncontrolled aggression. My Elite Championship track focuses on WKF rules, teaching you the precise timing for Yuko, Waza-ari, and Ippon. We use full protective gear to ensure you train hard without injury.
In my dojo, Kumite is treated as a chess match with your body. You cannot score points if you are fighting with anger. You must fight with clarity and strategy.
My training methodology focuses on three pillars:
- Precision and Timing: We drill Jodan Tsuki and Mawashi Geri until they are automatic. You learn to see the opening before the opponent makes the mistake.
- WKF Compliance: We follow World Karate Federation rules strictly. This ensures that when you step into a tournament ring, you are not disqualified for excessive contact or prohibited moves.
- Safety First: We train with full protective equipment. Mouth guards, body protectors, and shin guards are mandatory. You need to spar at high intensity to grow, but you also need to be fit to fight tomorrow.
My dojo, Karate Tech in Kudlu, offers an Elite Championship track for those serious about competition. This is a six-day-a-week commitment, with 120-minute sessions that include heavy bag work, focus mitt drills, and tough sparring. If you are ready to put in the work and stop playing around, this is where you belong. Oss.
