I don't need a weapon. I am one. This is our home for disciplined Shorin-ryu training, from foundational stance work to national-level Kumite preparation right here in Kudlu.

This is proof of our dedication. I coached the Indian team to become Overall Champions at the Shorin Kai International in Dubai, winning 52 Gold medals. We build winners.

This is tournament kumite. It is about strategy, control, and scoring points like Yūkō, Waza-ari, and Ippon. We train to win under pressure.

In kata competition, every detail matters. This shows one of my students demonstrating precision and power in front of the judges.

I lead from the front. Here, I am with my senior black belt students, practicing our stances. Discipline is everything in my dojo.

Before any fight, the mind must be ready. I am briefing my students on strategy and the point system before a kumite tournament in Mysore.

Hard work pays off. This is part of my team after being selected for the State level tournament. They earned their place.

For me, karate is more than just a sport or self-defense. It is a way of life that builds character and discipline. Oss.

About this collection

If you are looking for a casual weekend hobby, my dojo is likely not the right fit. We operate on a disciplined curriculum: we focus on repetitive Kihon and high-intensity conditioning until your movements are automatic. When you join, expect to commit to either the 3-day foundation track or our 6-day elite championship program.

Our dojo in Kudlu is fully affiliated with the Okinawa Karate Do Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai association. We prioritize technique over vanity. For our foundation students, that means mastering Kihon basics like punches (Tsuki) and blocks (Uke) alongside our 50-rep conditioning sets.

If you choose the Elite Championship Track, we shift to 120-minute daily sessions with heavy bag work and WKF-style Kumite, preparing you for everything from state-level tournaments to international podiums. We train with full safety gear, focusing on strategy, point systems like Yūkō and Waza-ari, and the precise control needed for Kata mastery. We do not cut corners because precision is what separates a participant from a champion.

I am GD Sharma, and for me, karate is life, not just a sport. I run every session personally, drilling my students in the same techniques that brought home 52 gold medals for India in Dubai. Oss.
