I don't follow standard charts because your body doesn't either. When we work together on an Indo-Western piece, we start with your measurements and your specific needs, not a mass-produced pattern. It is about creating that silhouette—whether it is a corset-skirt set, a tailored blazer, or a modern pant suit—that finally makes you feel like yourself.
I started Kalasthree because I was tired of clothes that never quite fit right. In this studio, we move away from cookie-cutter fashion. My approach to Indo-Western clothing is about blending the versatility of Indian textiles with cuts that you can actually live in. Whether you need a sharp outfit for the office that transitions to dinner, or a fusion look for a special occasion, I focus on the details that make clothes feel like a second skin.
My Process
When you come to my studio in Padmanabhanagar, we do not just pick a design off a rack. We sit down and talk. I want to know what makes you uncomfortable in regular store-bought clothes and what you actually want to highlight. I sketch your vision, and we look at fabrics that work for your climate and lifestyle.
Why Fusion Matters
I believe you should not have to choose between traditional aesthetics and modern comfort. My fusion wear—like linen kurtas styled with trousers or brocade corsets paired with tailored bottoms—gives you the best of both worlds. I use structural elements like canvas fusing and high-quality linings, even in casual workwear, so your outfit holds its shape and stays comfortable all day.
Upcycling Memories
