About Life at the Library: Behind the Scenes
Library chalana aasan kaam nahi, pura juggle hai—it is a daily balancing act between stocking new titles and managing the 'shoes-off' chaos of our branches. When I am not helping a child pick their next favorite read from our 50,000+ collection, you will likely find me setting up props for our weekend storytelling or figuring out why a reader refused to leave until closing time. It is not just about shelving books; it is about creating a safe, third space where kids actually want to disconnect from screens and reconnect with stories.
We are not just a static collection of shelves. Whether you visit our JP Nagar, Akshayanagar, or Electronic City branch, you walk into a space where the primary rule is reading what you love, without judgment.
I started this journey in a small apartment, but our community grew because parents wanted a place where children aren't forced to read 'good' books but are encouraged to find books they simply cannot put down. That is the magic we try to foster every day.
Running a kids library in Bengaluru means staying agile. We balance our extensive home delivery service with high-energy workshops and author interactions. While the physical branches offer a 'sukoon' (peace) zone, our event calendar is usually buzzing. We treat our library like a living room, not a silent museum.
