Creative Skill Workshops for Kids in Bengaluru

At Kahaani Box, we believe stories are just the start. Our workshops are designed to help kids find their voice through hands-on art, theatre, and creative expression, all in a space that feels like a home, not a classroom.

Glimpses from our Theatre Camp in partnership with Helen O’Grady Institute. In just five days, our young stars learned acting basics and put on a fantastic performance of 'Malgudi Days'.

Our 6-day theatre workshop is an immersive experience where kids build confidence, learn acting skills, and work towards a final performance for friends and family. It's amazing to see them shine on stage.

This summer, we started a Pen Friends Club. Kids write and exchange handwritten letters, making new friends the old-fashioned way. It's a beautiful way to practice writing and connect with others.

Our photography workshop was led by Vidyun, a 12-year-old award-winning wildlife photographer and one of our members. He shared his passion and tips, inspiring other kids to capture the world through their own lens.

Look at these beautiful Lippan art diya holders. Our young artists worked hard for three days to create these festive decorations, learning a traditional art form in the process.

Some fun backstage moments from our theatre workshop. It's not just about the final performance, but also about the friendships and fun that happen behind the scenes.

Our summer theatre workshop culminated in a wonderful performance. The kids developed skits on themes like nature and pollution, and even my son joined in on the music.

About this collection

We don’t just host classes, we build mini communities. Whether it's a 3-day Lippan art session or an immersive theatre camp, our workshops are designed to be hands-on and judgment-free. You’ll find the kids (and sometimes parents) sitting on cozy rugs, getting messy with paints, and learning that creativity isn’t about being perfect—it’s about having a blast while picking up a new skill.

Our workshops aren't generic extracurriculars. We focus on giving children a space to explore beyond the page. Our creative writing programs, like those exploring the world of Enid Blyton, focus on structure and editing without taking the fun out of storytelling. We host these sessions across our Bengaluru branches in JP Nagar, Akshayanagar, and Electronic City, keeping group sizes small to ensure every child gets individual attention.

From theatre camps in collaboration with industry experts to peer-led photography sessions where kids learn from fellow young enthusiasts, we cover a wide range of interests. Many of our programs, like the Lippan art or pottery workshops, are designed to be family-friendly, encouraging parents and kids to bond while making something tangible. We also offer online sessions, like our 'Invisible Stories' writing workshop, to reach young readers everywhere.

Everything we do is about process over perfection. Whether it is overcoming stage fright during a 6-day drama camp or mastering basic crochet stitches, our goal is to build confidence and curiosity. Since our classes have capped attendance (often under 10 or 15 participants), we keep the energy high and the environment safe and inclusive. If you are looking for an after-school or weekend activity that helps your child express themselves, come by, sit on our floor mats, and join our creative tribe.
