Train with an international gold medalist. Learn disciplined kabaddi skills on both mud and mat, guided by Arjuna Awardee Honnappa Gowda.

This is where the magic happens, on the ground. I believe in training alongside my players, showing them the right moves and correcting techniques in real time. You can hear me giving specific feedback in Kannada, like “aa jump hodiyoga neenu kai support thagobeku” (when you jump, use your hand for support), because small details make champions.

My journey started in a small village, Subedarpalya, with a big dream: to see the tiranga fly high. This video shows my story of sangharsh (struggle) and teamwork, from my first match to winning Asian Games gold and now passing on my knowledge to new players.

This is the moment. The catch that helped win the gold medal for India at the 1998 Bangkok Asian Games. This single action represents years of mehnat and dedication, a moment of pride for the entire nation.

Receiving the Arjuna Award from the President of India was a dream come true. This award is not just a personal honor; it is a recognition of my dedication to Kabaddi and a symbol of the heights any player can reach with discipline and hard work.

Training on the mud court is essential. Here, I am demonstrating front charge and inside charge defensive drills with my academy players. Mastering these basics is the foundation of a strong defense in any Kabaddi match.

Kabaddi is a game of discipline and respect. I believe a coach's job is to show the right path, not aggression. In this video, I share my thoughts on why upholding the spirit of the game is more important than winning or losing.

This is where it all began for me, on the mud fields of my gaon. These old photos show the raw passion and team spirit that defined my early days in Kabaddi. This is the foundation of the legacy I am building.

Here I am with the next generation of coaches at the Sports Authority of India in Bengaluru. It was an honor to meet these coaches selected for the NIS Diploma Course, who will be responsible for training future champions.

About Featured

I do not just stand on the sidelines. Whether we are practicing on mud grounds for raw strength or on mats for tactical speed, you will see me in the center correcting your posture. My focus is on the small details—like the exact moment to use hand support during a jump—that differentiate a good player from a champion.
