A look at the different techniques and styles my students explore, from pencil shading to traditional Kerala murals.

This is my student, Prafulla sir, who at 85 years old, is deeply focused on his watercolour painting. His dedication proves that it is never too late to explore your passion for art.

Here is my student Aryan, proudly showing the magnificent eagle he created using charcoal. This piece showcases the level of detail and realism we work towards in my drawing classes.

A student's finished Kerala mural, painted with acrylics. This piece highlights the vibrant colours and intricate designs that are central to this traditional Indian art form, which I specialize in teaching.

Watch my student Stuti as she uses a palette knife to create a textured oil painting on canvas. This is a great technique for students who want to add depth and dimension to their work.

This realistic portrait of an elderly woman was done in watercolour. In my classes, I teach how to capture the fine details of a subject, including the challenging texture of skin and hair.

My 8-year-old student, Adwik, completely absorbed in his pencil shading work, drawing a realistic dog. It’s wonderful to see such focus and developing skill in my youngest artists.

I am incredibly proud that my daughter and student, Samiksha, was selected for the National Art Contest and Exhibition for her watercolour portrait of Malala. This is a testament to her hard work and talent.

A beautiful acrylic on canvas painting of a cow and calf, created by my student Vasanth for a 'Gruhapravesham' or housewarming ceremony. It shows how art can be a meaningful part of our traditions.

About Featured

Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or want to refine your technique in oils, our small batch sizes of 4 to 6 students ensure you get dedicated time. It is not about reaching perfection in a day, but about learning how to see light, shadow, and texture on your own terms.

My Approach to Teaching

Art is a skill that everyone can develop with the right guidance. In my studio in Indiranagar, I focus on the basics first—understanding shapes, perspective, and how light hits a subject. Whether you are working with charcoal for a realistic portrait or using a palette knife for textured oil painting, the goal is to build your confidence.

What You Will Learn

We cover a wide range of mediums:

  • Foundation: Pencil shading and charcoal work, perfect for learning textures and realistic details.
  • Painting: Watercolour for landscapes and florals, plus oil and acrylic classes that focus on colour theory and canvas techniques.
  • Traditional Art: Specialised sessions for Tanjore and Kerala murals, where we dive into intricate gold foil work and traditional Panchavarna aesthetics.

Class Structure

Classes are kept small to ensure individual attention. I provide guidance based on your personal pace, whether you are preparing for the Karnataka Secondary Board drawing exams or learning a new hobby for yourself. We have students from 8 to 85 years old, proving that age truly is just a number when it comes to creativity. If you prefer, I also offer online classes so you can learn from anywhere.
