About Portrait Art Workshops
Why I Teach Portrait Art
Art is for everyone. I get real joy helping folks of all ages find their groove with portrait drawing. I’m not after perfection - it’s about enjoying the process and watching your style grow.
What We Do in Class
- We kick off with basic sketching, sorting out facial proportions and features.
- I’ll walk you through pencil shading techniques workshop style, showing you how to add texture and depth so your portraits pop.
- We mix it up with materials - think charcoal, watercolors, and sometimes oil paints. Each has its own vibe, and you’ll get to try what feels right.
Who Shows Up
Doesn’t matter if you’re 8 or 80. I’ve had total beginners and seasoned hobbyists sit side by side. Some batches run for teens and up, but I tweak things for younger kids if they’re keen. All you need is a bit of curiosity.
How Workshops Run
- Online classes for folks everywhere, or join me in Bangalore for in-person learning.
- We use reference photos and work step-by-step. You’ll see your own progress, session by session.
- Usually takes around 10 hours split up, so there’s time to relax and actually enjoy it.
My proudest moments? When someone realizes, “Hey, I can actually draw a face!” That’s why I do this - to build a small community, not just run beginner portrait art classes.

My Story
Hi, I’m Jeeva. You know, art’s been my thing forever, but teaching it to folks - that’s something else. My students? From little ones to grandpas, everyone’s got a spot here. Seriously, Aryan’s charcoal drawing at 14 and Prafulla sir’s watercolour at 85 - both make me grin. My daughter’s an artist too, and her work even made it to the National Art Exhibition! Travel, workshops, meeting new artists, especially women - all that keeps me inspired and buzzing.
