My Students Creating Art in Bengaluru
Art is for everyone, regardless of age or experience. From 8-year-olds mastering charcoal to 85-year-olds exploring watercolour, these images show the focus and joy in my Indiranagar studio and online classes.
My student, Prafulla sir, who at 85 years old, is a perfect example that passion for art has no age limit. Here he is, fully engaged in his watercolour painting.
Here is Praful, my 84-year-old student, proving that you can learn a new skill at any age. He is carefully sketching a bird, showing his wonderful dedication.
My student Aryan, proudly showing the magnificent eagle he created using charcoal. It's rewarding to see students achieve this level of detail and realism.
Watch my student Stuti as she uses a palette knife to create a textured oil painting. It's exciting to teach students new and advanced techniques.
My 8-year-old student, Adwik, completely absorbed in his pencil shading work. It’s wonderful to see such focus and developing skill in my youngest artists.
My 10-year-old student Shrey is fully concentrated on his charcoal drawing of a tiger. It's amazing to see young students tackle such complex subjects.
My student Thanvi adding the finishing touches to her charcoal drawing of water lilies. This video shows the final steps of blending and highlighting.
Here is my student Nethra Singh, working diligently on a complex pencil and charcoal portrait from a reference photo.
My student Meika practicing her pencil shading skills by recreating a portrait. She is learning to use the grid method for accuracy.
Myara is focused on her pencil shading portrait, learning to create smooth gradients and define facial features.
About My Students in Action
In my classes, I keep batches small, usually 4 to 6 students. This ensures I can sit with you, look at your strokes, and offer feedback while you work. Whether you are using a palette knife for textured oil painting or sketching charcoal portraits, I am right there to guide your hand and help you fix the shading.
Learning art is a journey that looks different for everyone. Some of my students start with foundational pencil shading and charcoal drawing for beginners to understand light and texture. Others come to me for advanced oil painting lessons or to preserve tradition through Tanjore painting workshops and Kerala mural art.
How We Work
I treat every student as an individual. If you are an adult, we might work on complex mythological figures or gold foil application. If you are a student preparing for the Karnataka Secondary Board exam, we focus on the specific technical requirements for Lower or Higher grade certification.
I offer flexibility in how you learn. You can attend in-person sessions at my studio in HAL 3rd Stage, Indiranagar, or join my online art classes from home. For those who want to dive deep into a specific medium like portrait sketching or palette knife techniques, I conduct focused workshops that span about 10 hours.
Art is not just about the final canvas. It is about the process of learning to see differently. My students support each other, and seeing an 85-year-old student pick up a brush with the same enthusiasm as a 10-year-old is what keeps this community alive.
