About Tanya Shanker Collective: Indie & Originals
When you book my collective, you are getting more than just background music. We bring a full 5-piece band, including drums, bass, and keys, to deliver a high-energy performance that pivots between my original indie tracks and modern pop-rock hits. Since we are a full unit, we do require a 60-minute exclusive sound check to get the audio just right before the crowd arrives.
My indie project is all about connection. I spent years writing in my diary before taking these tracks to the stage, and performing them live with my band, Moksha All Stars or the Collective, is where the real magic happens. We have played venues like Fandom at Gillys Redefined, and I love the intimacy of those rooms.
What to expect
If you are tired of the same old setlists, my original music offers something different. I write about stuff that actually matters to me, like online love and virtual personas, blended with the dramatic pop style that defines my sound.
The Logistics
To make sure the show sounds as good as it feels, my band brings our own guitars, bass, and keyboards. We do ask that the venue handles the drum kit shell and amplifiers, as we are already traveling with a lot of gear to maintain that specific indie-rock quality. If you want a mix of high-energy originals and covers by artists like Queen or Adele, we can tailor the setlist to suit the crowd. Let's make your event great without the standard corporate feel.
