Sound checks are my favorite part of the process because that is when I lock in the frequency of the room before the event begins. Whether I am performing in a remote natural landscape or a standard wedding hall, I rely on these quiet moments to ensure that when the mic goes on, the connection is instant.
Music for me is more than just a setlist of songs. It is about the preparation and the philosophy behind every note. My journey began with classical training under my Guruma, whose guidance still grounds my performances today. When you see me in these candid moments, you are seeing the layers that go into every gig—from the technical sound checks that set the mood in Udaipur to the spontaneous acoustic sets I perform while traveling.
I treat every performance like a conversation, which is why I am just as comfortable singing a soulful ghazal in an acoustic trio as I am leading a high-energy Sangeet with a full band. By the time I get on stage, I have already lived through the rhythm and the emotion of the music, making the actual show a seamless exchange of energy with you and your guests. Whether I am performing in Mumbai or traveling across India for a show, my goal remains the same: to create a shared space where we can all just let go and enjoy the music.
