About Our "From-Scratch" Promise

You won't find a single box of pre-mix in my kitchen. When I say 'from scratch', I mean it literally, starting with raw ingredients like real butter, pure chocolate, and fresh fruit. This means my batches take longer to prepare, but it also means you get the deep, honest flavour that only comes from knowing exactly what is inside your cake.

Baking is chemistry. Unlike regular cooking, where a little 'andaze' (guesswork) might work, baking demands absolute exactitude. When I started Indulge, I made a simple commitment: no maida, no processed sugar, and definitely no non-dairy whipped cream. Everything is prepared from the base up.

Why Ingredients Matter

I source real butter and fresh seasonal produce. If it is mango season in Mumbai, you get fresh Alphonso puree, not tinned pulp. If it is winter, you get cakes made with fresh strawberries. This means my menu changes with nature's clock, and my cakes have a shorter shelf life because they lack industrial preservatives. That is the trade-off for real flavour.

The Science of Scaling

I often hear people ask why I cannot whip up a large order in a few hours. The answer is process. Precision takes time. Whether I am making a traditional rum-soaked plum cake or a batch of artisan cookies, the time spent measuring, resting, and baking cannot be rushed. My team and I treat every batch with intention. If I wouldn't serve it to my own family, it doesn't leave my kitchen. This is why I ask for a little patience with booking lead times; quality cannot be manufactured in haste.
