Master Taekwondo Acrobatics and Power Breaking in Delhi
True power comes from discipline and flexibility. Learn the art of controlled movement, aerial kicks, and board breaking in a safe, guided environment at our Okhla dojang.
A demonstration of a backflip board break inside our dojang. This advanced technique combines acrobatics with the precision of a Taekwondo kick, all performed in a controlled environment.
This flying kick over multiple students is an exercise in courage and precision. It is a highlight of our board breaking demonstrations and a favorite among students.
Safety is my first priority when teaching advanced moves. Here, a student practices a front flip, landing safely on a thick crash mat, which is essential for building confidence in acrobatics.
Four students demonstrate perfect floor splits, a result of our consistent and structured flexibility training. This level of flexibility is key to executing high kicks and advanced techniques.
A dynamic display of flexibility and teamwork. This student performs a hanging split, supported by two of his training partners, showcasing both strength and trust.
Even our youngest students begin flexibility training early. A young boy in his dobok and yellow belt holds a perfect back bridge, building a strong foundation for future skills.
About Acrobatics, Flexibility & Power Breaking
You might see flips and board breaking and think it is all natural talent, but it starts with safety. At my academy, we use 8-10 inch industrial crash mats for every aerial attempt. You build the specific core strength and balance required for a backflip or a flying kick step by step, without risking injury.
Martial arts is often misunderstood as just fighting, but it is really about body control and discipline. Whether you are looking to master Poomsae forms, execute a perfect split, or gain the confidence to break boards, the process remains the same: repetition and patience.
The Training Methodology
My training at the Indo International Taekwondo Academy in Okhla focuses on three pillars:
- Flexibility: We begin with static and dynamic stretching. A kick is only as high as your hip flexibility allows. From basic floor bridges to advanced hanging splits, we ensure your muscles are primed.
- Acrobatics: This adds flair and functional agility to your movement. We focus on technique over raw power. You will learn to land safely on our 25mm EVA mats and industrial crash pads before attempting complex aerials.
- Power Breaking (Kyukpa): Breaking a board is the ultimate test of focus and technique. It teaches you to channel energy through a single point. We train for accuracy first—when your strike is precise, the board breaks naturally.
Why Discipline Matters
As I always tell my students, 'Samay par uthna, samay par chalna, samay par sona, nahin samay tum apna khona' (Wake on time, walk on time, sleep on time, do not waste your time). The discipline you learn on these mats carries over into your life. Whether you are joining for fitness, Kyorugi (sparring) preparation, or simply to gain confidence, you are part of a family here that values growth above all else.
