Custom Deity Vastra and Handcrafted Poshak Sets
Devotion in every stitch. I design miniature, made-to-measure outfits for deities like Laddu Gopal and Hanuman using rich brocades and intricate embellishments.
This is a glimpse into my collection of custom deity vastra. I create these miniature outfits for Hanuman ji and other deities using rich brocade fabrics and detailed embroidery as a heartfelt offering.
A complete wedding-themed set for Laddu Gopal. This custom vastra includes a red and gold brocade outfit with mirror work, set against a traditional red asana cloth with swastika motifs.
A closer look at the intricate details of the Laddu Gopal vastra. You can see the fine mirror work, sequin borders, and the jeweled mukut (crown) that complete the divine attire.
This is another custom-stitched poshak for Laddu Gopal, featuring a pink and gold brocade fabric with delicate mirror work along the border. The set includes a matching dress, pants, and mukut.
An orange and gold brocade vastra I designed for Hanuman ji. The bright color and traditional buti print are chosen to create a vibrant and respectful offering for Hanuman Jayanti.
About Exquisite Deity Vastra
Dressing a deity is a daily ritual of love, so I prioritize ease of use in my designs. Every poshak set I stitch features thoughtful fasteners, like secure dori tie-ups or simple velcro, to ensure the outfit stays perfectly in place during your daily puja, whether you are dressing Laddu Gopal or Hanuman ji.
Crafting deity vastra is less about sewing and more about serving. When you bring home a new idol, finding the right size can be tricky, which is why my approach treats every piece like a custom garment for a loved one. I source high-grade art silks, velvets, and brocades that hold their shape and vibrancy, even with regular handling during aarti or dressing.
For Laddu Gopal, I pay close attention to the proportions of the ghagra and choli so they drape elegantly on the idol. For Hanuman ji, I focus on sturdy dhoti and angavastram sets that respect the traditional aesthetic while being easy to manage.
Why custom? Standard store-bought outfits often lack the finish needed for daily wear. I use concealed inner stitching so the threads do not fray during the many times the deity is dressed and undressed. I also ensure the embellishments—be it gota borders, mirror work, or sequins—are reinforced so they do not lose their luster over time. If you have a specific fabric from a family heirloom that you would like to see repurposed for your temple, I can work with that too, creating a divine offering that carries personal meaning. Whether it is a vibrant orange set for Hanuman Jayanti or a soft pastel ensemble for everyday prayer, let us create something truly special for your home.
