About Handmade Poshaks & Shringar for Laddu Gopal
Since I personally design every Poshak, I focus on the fit for idol sizes 2 to 5. Every set is a complete styling kit, meaning you get the dress, pagdi, mala, and bansuri together, so you do not have to hunt for matching accessories.
When you choose a handmade outfit for your Kanha Ji, you are getting more than just fabric. I use materials like premium velvet, raw silk, and net, layering them with traditional gota patti, mirrors, and stone chains.
My Design Process
Each Poshak I create starts with a specific vision. Whether it is a vibrant pink dress with heavy pearl work or a royal red set for Janmashtami, I ensure the embroidery is balanced and the peacock motifs sit perfectly.
- Apparel: Every dress features a heavy gher (circular skirt) design that ensures a grand look, even on smaller idols.
- Accessories: A Shringar set is incomplete without the right headgear. My pagdis and mukuts are handcrafted to match the dress fabric, often using the same trim or beadwork to create a cohesive appearance.
- Durability: I use industrial-strength adhesives for embellishments because I know these sets will be handled and styled frequently.
Because I create these in limited batches, I put a lot of focus into the 'realness' of each piece. You might find tiny imperfections in the handmade work, but that is the mark of the hours of effort I put into every single order. Once a festive design is sold out, I usually move on to the next concept, so what you see is often one of a kind.
