- Materials: Includes premium butter crepe or shantoon lining and heavy-duty YKK concealed zippers.
Finishing Details
- Custom Stitching: Made-to-measure tailoring focusing on preserving fragile silk threads.
- Seam Safety: Overlocking of all inner seams to prevent fraying.
- Trims: Reuse of saree tassels or creation of new fabric latkans using leftover borders.

Tailoring & Utility
- Custom Fit: Tailored to specific body measurements (bust, waist, hip) rather than standard retail sizing.
- Functionality: Deep side pockets included; optional invisible vertical zippers (12-14 inches) for breastfeeding access.
- Design Styles: Options include Shirt dresses with collars, Tiered Maxi dresses, or A-line cuts with wooden or potli buttons.

- Accessories: Matching fabric belts, hair ties, or scrunchies created from leftover scrap fabric.
- Comfort: Soft zippers and fabric guards on the child's outfit to prevent skin irritation.
Kids Traditional Festive Stitching

- Pleating: Specialist box pleats or knife pleats for skirts to ensure maximum flair.

About Custom Indian & Fusion Wear
My Approach
For me, clothes are about more than just matching colors. "Maare kapda matching, manda matching, dalda matching karva chhe" - I want the outfits you wear to connect with your story, your memories, and your people. I love blending tradition with fresh ideas - so you feel like yourself, but also a bit special.
Upcycling Old Memories
Got a sentimental saree tucked away? I’m all about upcycled saree outfits. Turning your mother’s saree into a modern jumpsuit, a fun kid’s dress, or even a new look for you is something I truly enjoy. It’s not just about style, it’s about sustainable Indian fashion and giving old treasures a second life.
Made-to-Measure For You
Every piece I make is custom-stitched - nothing ready-made, nothing copy-paste. I design:
- Indo-Western cotton dresses with pockets (yes, pockets!)
- Fusion party jumpsuits
- Lehenga Cholis, Salwar Kameez, and blouses
- Practical maternity and nursing wear with hidden zips
For Kids & Twinning Moments
Mother-daughter twinning wear is my fave - matching sets for you and your little one, coordinated sibling outfits, and custom ethnic wear for kids that actually fit and last.
Special: Vastra for Deities
This is close to my heart. I stitch custom deity vastra for Laddu Gopal and Hanuman ji - using brocade, mirror work, sequins, and lots of love. Outfits include dress, pajami, pagdi - made just for your idol.
How We Work Together
We chat, plan, and swap ideas. I’ll mix-and-match till we find what feels right for you. Everything is stitched to your measurements, so it fits like it’s meant to.

My Story
Jai Shree Krishna! I’m Deepti. For me, Indian Dress Factory is pure emotion. I still think maa-ni sari (mom’s saree) is priceless, and I try to stitch that feeling into every piece. Upcycling old fabrics, making new memories - that’s my jam. Becoming a mom made me create comfy maternity dresses with hidden zips, so you can twin with your baby. I also teach stitching at Saheli Hobby Classes. Shine in what feels good, and bounce back stronger, always.
