We transform traditional, static libraries into dynamic learning ecosystems. Our approach balances Scandinavian-inspired minimalism with the rigorous acoustic and ergonomic standards required for high-focus academic environments.

An overview of the library at Queen's College, Indore, showcasing the organized flow of the space. Arched niches, low-profile shelving, and an oversized pendant light create a harmonious and visually interesting environment for learning.

The curved, fluted reception desk serves as a central point in the library. The design combines white solid surfaces with warm wood tones, reflecting the clean and natural material palette used throughout the space.

A close-up of the library's reception desk, featuring integrated cubby storage. This custom piece is both functional for organization and beautiful in its minimalist design, with clean lines and a contrast of wood and white.

An arched timber doorway frames a view into a cozy reading area, complete with built-in bookshelves and comfortable seating. This design creates a sense of discovery and provides a quieter, more intimate zone within the larger library.

This view shows the connection between the library's interior and an outdoor terrace through large, arched glass doors. This feature allows for ample natural light and provides a visual link to greenery, promoting a calm atmosphere.

We create a variety of seating options to support different learning styles. This corner of the library features small group tables with movable chairs and a comfortable built-in reading nook with its own dedicated lighting.

Another view of the collaborative study space, highlighting the built-in cushioned bench and flexible table arrangements. The design ensures that students can easily reconfigure the space for group projects or individual study.

The digital workspace at Queen's College features a bold terracotta accent wall to energize the environment. Each station is equipped with an iMac and separated by a privacy panel, ensuring a focused and ergonomic setup for students.

A wider perspective of the computer lab, showing the row of workstations against the vibrant accent wall. The combination of warm wood, neutral chairs, and energetic color creates a balanced and productive atmosphere.

About Modern Libraries & Learning Hubs

In our recent library project at Queen’s College, Indore, we moved away from the standard stuffy reading hall layout. Instead, we installed arched timber shelving and acoustic wall treatments, which naturally delineate zones for collaborative work and quiet, deep focus study.
