Modern Libraries & Learning Hubs
We transform traditional, static libraries into dynamic learning ecosystems. Our approach balances Scandinavian-inspired minimalism with the rigorous acoustic and ergonomic standards required for high-focus academic environments.
An overview of the library at Queen's College, Indore, showcasing the organized flow of the space. Arched niches, low-profile shelving, and an oversized pendant light create a harmonious and visually interesting environment for learning.
The curved, fluted reception desk serves as a central point in the library. The design combines white solid surfaces with warm wood tones, reflecting the clean and natural material palette used throughout the space.

About this collection
In our recent library project at Queen’s College, Indore, we moved away from the standard stuffy reading hall layout. Instead, we installed arched timber shelving and acoustic wall treatments, which naturally delineate zones for collaborative work and quiet, deep focus study.
Rethinking Institutional Spaces
Today’s students require environments that support various modes of learning. A library is no longer just a repository for books; it is a community hub that must integrate technology, foster collaboration, and provide sanctuaries for reflection.
Our Approach to Library Design
We prioritize two elements: flow and focus.
- Acoustic Management: Noise is the enemy of concentration. We use high-performance acoustic wall paneling, ceiling baffles, and SPC acoustic flooring to dampen sound, ensuring that a group brainstorming session doesn’t disturb a student reading nearby.
- Ergonomic Precision: Whether it is a digital workstation or a quiet reading nook, furniture must support long hours of use. We plan our workstations with integrated cable management and ergonomic seating to prevent fatigue.
- Biophilic Integration: We bring the outside in. By optimizing layouts to maximize natural daylight and incorporating wood tones and organic shapes, we reduce the institutional 'coldness' often found in schools, creating a space where students actually want to spend time.
Turnkey Execution
From initial site analysis to final furniture installation, we handle the entire process. This includes structural lighting planning, custom millwork for shelving, and the setup of dedicated digital labs. We design, build, and deliver, ensuring that the final result matches the design intent perfectly without the need for multiple vendors.
