This open-plan study is designed to be warm and inviting. We built a long wooden desk and shelving unit that spans the wall, set against a deep blue accent wall and herringbone wood floors.

When we design a study nook, it is rarely just a table against a wall. We look at how the area integrates with your bedroom or living room floor plan. Often, we use built-in LED profile lighting and floating shelves to ensure you have maximum desktop space without the visual clutter of bulky furniture, keeping the room feeling airy and large.

This means choosing materials that feel grounded, like solid teak or ash wood, paired with subtle metal details. The Technical Side of Our Work
- Ergonomics: We design desk heights and shelf depths based on your specific requirements, not just standard sizes. If you need a desk for a compact corner, we build it to fit perfectly, often utilizing dead space that would otherwise be wasted.
- Material Selection: We use BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) plywood for longevity and finish it with high-grade veneers or PU polish. This ensures your desk withstands daily wear while looking professional.
- Lighting: Proper lighting is essential for study and office work. We embed vertical profile LED strips directly into the shelving units. This provides focused task lighting that eliminates shadows without needing extra lamps taking up desk space.
Designing for Home and Commercial Use
Whether you are setting up a workspace in a bedroom or renovating a professional office, our approach remains the same. We prioritize durable surfaces, soft-close hardware from brands like Hettich, and smart cable management solutions.
